Something can be said for seeing a project start and end in as little as a month. This year KRI and Chad Falkenberg Designers joined forces and gave a few select Gastown retailers & restaurants a little West Coast Christmas cheer.

There seems to be a never ending supply of Hair salon's in this little city. This client wanted to try something different and combine a salon and retail clothing store into one space. The concept, to have a little fun and reference the eighties. What was special about the eighties? Big Hair, Big Cars pretty well big everything. So with this space the fixtures and details were oversized, such as the lampshades, mouldings and the printed wallpaper.

Recently a very well known architectural blog site (www.archdaily.com) featured a past project that I had worked on. Within days that same project was picked up by numerous Interior Design blogs around the world. Which in turn led to a feature in a European Magazine, Objekt (Ukraine edition).

I have had only witnessed the viral phenomenon through the news and various reports of viral videos. This little exercise has proven the power of the internet.

I have to admit, it is quite exciting to watch it unfold.
